Brief History and Explanation of Reiki:
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that supports the body’s natural ability to rest, restore, and return to balance. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: Rei, meaning universal or spiritual wisdom, and Ki, meaning life force energy. This life force flows through all living things, and when it becomes depleted or blocked, we may feel physically, emotionally, or spiritually out of alignment.
Reiki was developed in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui in Japan as a simple yet powerful method of working with this universal life energy.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner gently places their hands on or just above the body, allowing energy to flow where it is most needed. Rather than forcing change, Reiki works by supporting the body, mind, and spirit in returning to a more natural state of balance.
Many people seek Reiki for relaxation and stress relief, while others find it helpful during times of emotional healing, physical recovery, or personal growth. At its heart, Reiki is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and allow your body the space it needs to heal.
What to Expect
Reiki sessions are peaceful, relaxing, and designed to help your body settle into a restorative state.
You will lie comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed, while I gently place my hands on or slightly above different areas of your body. As Reiki energy flows, many people experience warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation, while others simply feel calm and grounded.
Each session is unique, and there is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where your body, mind, and spirit can rest, release stress, and return to balance.
During a Session With Me
I deeply believe that healing is never one-size-fits-all. Each person carries their own story, energy, and path to balance. Because of this, every session I offer is intentionally curated to meet the unique needs of the individual. My goal is to create a supportive, grounded space where you can reconnect with your body, release what no longer serves you, and realign with your highest self.
